What is Sound Engineering Most persons do not realize that there are two very distinct career paths for the term Sound Engineering. The one path focuses on the 'Engineering' or technical aspect and the other path is the actual operation of sound/audio equipment which has a much smaller degree of the technical side and tons more of the creative side of sound engineering. Most academic institutions focus on the technical aspect, where the student spends years studying page and pages of technical books, has many hours of class room lectures, and some 'tours' of operational commercial audio studios. This is not the path of training that Inhouse Audio takes. Inhouse Audio Training focuses on developing the creative side of the student by giving them 6 hours a day of practical 'hands on' training in the operation and use of audio equipment, we train students to use the equipment, not to design sound equipment or to write technical papers or journals. Our students learn to make movies come alive with creative sound designs, make the music you listen to move your soul and the next live concert you go to, a mind blowing auditory sensation. There is no formula for a great mix, no slide rule can tell our kind of 'engineer' how much of this or that is needed, only one thing tells them if it is right or wrong and that is their ears ........ ........... we teach you to listen. So if you want to: Measure the frequency response of 10 different microphones Then enroll at an accredited academic institution, such as a varsity or technikon But if you want to: Mix and create all the sounds and effects for the next 'Transformers Movie' Then choosing Inhouse Audio Training is a big step in the right direction So why choose Inhouse Audio Training ?................. because we teach you what you really need to and want to know, 'hands on' everyday.
