Our training is not based on an academic program, but on a 'Hands On' internship approach, where the student is taught in a very real 'virtual environment' that emulates the same working conditions found in the real world.
1. We teach our students from the very first day how to use, connect and configure all the physical hardware that enables a recording studio to function and to make it all function correctly by themselves.
2. Our students are taught numerous industry standard software packages, from those used by the industry at large to the more specialized packages needed and used by the electronic musician or Electronic producer.
3. We cover all aspects of the Sound industry from music recording (live), electronic, Mixing, Mastering, as well as, the Post Production side of the industry teaching sound design for movies/TV, advertising, Radio Stations, multi media and electronic games.
After the first 8 weeks of training our students are then assigned normal everyday studio engineer chores, these include:
1. Setting up a studio for any kind of recording session 2. Configuring the studio as per the engineer/producer's request. 3. Live Recordings: From recording the local rock band or multiple microphone setups for sitcoms or talk show. 4. Mixing: The best way to learn the art of mixing is by copying the pros, here our extensive project library gives the student the pros final mix with all the original files, all they have to do is copy it. Sounds easy?.....this is ear training on 'Steroids'. 5. Editing: Here the student learns the art of audio editing with projects covering all aspects of the audio industry. 6. Working with MIDI software, plug-ins, virtual instruments, keyboards and sound modules. 6. Creating sound designs for various projects, from corporate logos, radio shows, commercials and movies. 7. Studio Management: Here the student learns all aspects of how a studio facility operates and the best way to learn this is for the student to run a facility by themselves. 8. Studio Maintenance: If it's broken you try and fix it, from broken cables, headphones/speakers, mic stands to that 'hole' in the wall.
Extended hours: Inhouse Audio Training's facilities are open to our students from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm, 7 days a week. There is no excuse for not having the time to hone your skills to perfection. To view our full audio training curriculum click here
